In this video i will back-test 100 times, a very famous trading strategy called the CCI strategy. Yes you heard it right. testing 100 times takes time, and will most likely prove, if you should risk your hard earned money, using this strategy! This video will be very similar to the RSI and MACD video i made a while ago. If you want to know if those strategy works after testing 100 times? Check that video out.

For those who are new to trading, this is what CCI indicator looks like. On first look, it looks like the RSI indicator, but it is very different.
On trading view, The CCI indicator will come with an orange line, called the CCI line. And two horizontal lines, called the Upper band, and the lower band.

I have already made a video on the basics. If you have never heard about this indicator, check out my previous video where i explain this indicator in detail. If you remember, in my last CCI video, I was strongly against of using the CCI indicator alone, to enter trades. And I still don’t recommend it. You will see why, at the end of the video. I only recommend to use it with some other indicator that you know works.

Like i said in my previous CCI video, there are two kinds of traders that use the CCI indicator in very different ways. Also, in my last video, i show two different methods to use this indicator. In this video, I’m going to use the second method, the method that most people use.

In this method, When the CCI line, crosses below the upper band, the market was considered to be over bought, and we should look to sell.

Similarly, when the CCI line crosses above the lower band, the market was considered to be over sold, and we should look to buy.

In the next few minutes, i will show you how the profit graph looks like after taking 100 trades, and how much is the real winning percentage of the CCI strategy, and how many losers you can expect in a row. I will fast forward the next clip to save your time. The following clip can help you understand, how this strategy looks in different market conditions, so do watch carefully.

It took me around 1 hour to back test 100 trades, and while testing, some trades almost came close to hitting the stop loss, before going back and hitting profit targets. Don’t panic when market is very close to hitting your stop loss. Losing is part of trading. Whole point of making this video, was to show you the number of losers, you can have in a strategy. No strategy works 100 percent of time. Even professional traders use strategies, that only work 60 to 65 percent of time. As i always say, The key to make money is money management, and trading psychology! Master that, and you can become a professional.

Why is the CCI indicator so different? Some people use it to find over-bought and over-sold zones, and some use it to find direction of a new trend. What method is the right one? How to use the CCI indicator properly without blowing up our accounts? Lets find out.

CCI is one of the popular and best indicator out there, It can even increase the win rate of your strategy if you use it properly. But that’s the problem. There are two different trading strategies based on this one indicator. When Donald Lambert created the CCI indicator in 1980, he used it to find strong trends in the commodity market. Hence the name, Commodity Channel Index. But since the creation of the CCI indicator, market has changed. Traders have adapted this indicator to use on all kinds of markets and all time frames.

Now, there are two kinds of traders that use the CCI indicator in very different ways.
Some, still use it to find the strong trend. And some use it to find the reversals.

In this video, we are going to take a look at both of these methods. As always, I will also test the CCI indicator 100 times, to find its real win rate, and to make sure it works. But i will do it in a separate video. SUBSCRIBE to see it. I have already tested MACD, RSI, and other indicators 100 times, to find their real win rate. Check those videos out if you want. After all, you don’t want to risk your money on a strategy that doesn’t even work.

This is how the CCI indicator looks like. On first look, it looks like the RSI indicator, but it is very different.
On trading view, The CCI indicator will come with an orange line, called the CCI line. And two horizontal lines, called the Upper band, and the lower band.

The two trading strategy based on this indicator are really simple. Lets start with the first method.

This is the method that Donald Lambert, the creator of this indicator used.

When the CCI line, crosses above the positive 100 line, in other words, the upper band. It can indicate the start of a strong uptrend.
And if the CCI line, crosses below the Negative 100 line, in other words the lower band. It can indicate the start of a strong downtrend.

In simple words, CCI line crossing above the upper band, is a buy signal. And CCI line crossing below the lower band, is a sell signal.

Here’s an example.

As you can see, when the CCI went above the upper line, the market gained momentum, and a strong uptrend took place.

Similarly, When the CCI line crossed below the lower band, the market started a strong down trend.

You can enter trades, as soon as the CCI crosses above or below the bands. But you will get a lot of false signals, if you use the CCI indicator only. Use it with something else.

This method is best used in a trending market. And if you have been following this channel for a while, You know, to find the direction of the long term trend, we use the 200 moving average.
If price is above the moving average, we will only look to buy. This will help us avoid false sell signals. Similarly, if price is below the 200 moving average, we will only take sell signals. This will help us avoid false buy signals given by the CCI indicator.
So our modified CCI trend trading strategy, goes something like this.

We will buy, when CCI crosses above the upper band, and price is still above the 200 E M A. And we will sell, when CCI crosses below the lower band, and price is still below the 200 moving average.

If you are not using this as a day trader, watch out. Because not using this, is one of the biggest mistake, that 90 percent of traders make. In this video, I’m going to respond, to the comment I received on a video. In that video, i tested the MACD strategy 100 times, to show it’s real win rate.

If you haven’t watched that video already, go watch now! In that video, I use an excel sheet to track my trades. I made that excel sheet many years ago, when i was new to trading, and was losing money like an idiot. But when i sat down and created this excel sheet, that you get it for free in this video, My win rate and confidence to take trades was slightly improved.

No kidding. When I started tracking down, every trade, every mistake i made, using this Excel sheet, I had a clear view on what kind of trading style I was good at. What time of the day I made more money, and where I lost the most.

If you are a beginner trader, who does not have, an excel sheet, or anything similar, to track the trades. Use this one. It’s absolutely free. It will even calculate your Win Rate. And will also show, how much money you make, using a graph. Once you have taken trades for the day, open this excel file, using One Drive, or Google Docs. They both are also free to use.

In the second column, Enter the Date you take the trade on. And In the next column, you can enter the total money you risked in the entire day. For example, If I took one trade, that had maximum loss potential of 100 dollars, I will enter 100 in this column. Similarly, If i take 2 trades, with each one having a maximum loss potential of 100 dollar, I will enter 200.

Column D, is for the Forex pair, or stock you traded. Here, Enter the names of the Stocks you traded for the day.

Risk per day, is self explanatory. This is where you enter the maximum risk you took per trade. For example, if you took a trade, that had potential to lose 1 percent of your account, enter 1 in the column. You should never risk more than 1 percent of your account. This excel sheet can also help you track that.

The H and L column, are for the number of Long and Short positions you take for the day.
And in column M, you enter the total number of long and short positions.

Next column, is pretty obvious. This is where you enter the money you make or lose.
Now, Column Q, will automatically calculate and adjust your total account value, when you enter the profit.

Here’s an example.

Enter your starting balance, right here, otherwise it won’t calculate properly.
The graph will also change when you make and lose money. It will show the total account value.

This is where your win rate will be calculated. If you only enter the number of trades, and how many of those where winner, the number of losers and Total win rate will be automatically calculated.
You can also see your win rate, using this chart.
The other two graphs are optional. They will calculate the number of Long and Short trades you take. You can enter those values here.

What are the Intraday trading mistakes that will stop you from making money in stock market as a day trader. How to make money in stock market the proper way. Same strategies apply for Forex Trading as well. Here are some Intraday trading tips.

Who doesn’t want to make a big profit? Intraday trading can make you rich very quickly. But This sometimes results in mistakes and heavy losses. Many times a trader meets a disastrous loss in a single day.

This video details on the most common trading mistakes of intraday traders. A peek into these worst mistakes will help you avoid them.

Number 5. Rushing to book profits.

Many traders make quick and bad decisions when they see their position making a small profit. A lot of traders rush to book profits before they decide the target and stop loss. You should always decide your stop loss first before risking your money on a trade. All trade are not the same. Many traders make mistake of holding their losing trades for a long time and rushing to book profit on a good trade, because they are worried that the trade might go in a loss. Before entering a trade, you should always keep the profit target and stop loss in mind. Trading is probability game. Not all trade will be a winner. Stop loss will save you from losing on a bad trade. But rushing to book a small profit will result in a loss in the long run. Teach yourself to exit trade at the profit target. The trade will hit your profit targets if you stay patient.

number 4. Averaging in a Losing Position.
For some experienced traders, averaging a losing position is fine. For some however, especially in intraday, it could prove risky. Averaging down is an investing strategy, in which a stock owner purchases additional shares of a previously initiated investment, after the price has dropped further. The result of this second purchase is a decrease in the average price, at which the investor purchased the stock. As history shows, when a trader is holding a losing position the greatest errors have taken place. Only Start to average when there’s a benefit. Otherwise, you are just adding more money on a already lost battle.

Number 3 mistake is Blindly Following Rumors.
Another major mistake is to pursue the rumors spread by traders and the newspapers. Market trends are recommended, but rumors should be avoided. Without your own research, do not pursue intraday trading recommendations and media speculation. Going on the advice of TV channels and newspapers, can lead to wrong decisions without reading charts. If you are a beginner, you should stay away from the sub reddit known as the Wall Street Bets. This sub reddit is fun to be a part of. But don’t blindly follow advice told on here, or anywhere else on the internet.

Number 2. Trading Too Frequently.
Many intraday traders eventually lose their hard earned cash due to over trading. Every day trader should realize that over trading will impair good returns. You don’t have to take trade every single day to make a good living. Not all days are same. Market won’t make big price moves everyday. For a intraday trader to make money, good price movement is necessary. This is not possible every single day. You have to understand that not trading is also making money, because You just saved money that you would have lost in a bad market. Even so, do not place all your assets in investing, even if you are sure about optimistic price trends.

Number 1 mistake is Avoiding Homework and Research.
Many traders jump into purchasing or selling their stocks without doing any homework. Proper research can save you from making stupid mistakes. You don’t have enough knowledge of patterns, particularly if you’re a beginner. Therefore, it is important to learn trading patterns. It is important before trading to get information about the company and the price movements.

If you find a trading strategy that claims to work 70 percent of time, don’t just blindly risk your money on it. Learn to back test. Test it least 100 times on old market data, before risking money in live market. Understand it’s real win rate. Win rate can vary from person to person. Even if the strategy works in the back test, don’t risk a lot of money on it at first. Start slow and slowly increase the amount as you get more confident with that strategy.

You will make a decent profit by preventing these intraday errors. Beginners should be careful to avoid these errors during day trading. You should rely on taking calculated chances as a seasoned investor. You must be able to rebound in the trade in order to endure the end results of your mistakes.

Live Trading Strategy for Forex Market, also works for Stock Market !!! A tutorial on Intraday Trading Strategy / Day Trading Strategies that will work to make money online

So, in this video, I’m going to show you, how i was able to make almost 200 dollars, by being just 4 minutes in the trade. Almost 200 in 4 minutes! In this video, you can see, all the steps i go through before risking my money. Also, the following clip is un-edited, so you can see, how i analyze charts using multi time frame analysis.okay!, so here, we have the EUR JPY chart. if you have watched my previous videos, you can tell, it is in a down trend. it is trading below the 200 period moving average.

Therefore, we will look to sell! But just because, moving average is indicating, that it is a down trend, doesn’t always have to mean, that the market will go further down.So, to avoid taking stupid trades, we will try to find the strong support and resistance. We will do this, by going into a higher time frame. this is a 5 min chart.so lets go to Daily chart, and look for support and resistance. here, we can see two strong support and resistance.

Now, let’s switch to a 30 min time frame, to find intraday support and resistance.here, i can see a strong support. price has bounced from this level couple of times. It is possible, that Price can bounce back again, if it comes near it.

We should remember, not to sell at this support level. we don’t wanna lose our money by doing something stupid!Okay! so, these are the support and resistance levels i found interesting. Now, let’s look at the 5 min time frame again, to see, if we can find an entry to sell,remember, the market is below the 200 period moving average, that’s why we are looking to sell.if you look closely, you can see the price was making a lower low.

But now, the momentum is slowing down. and since we found support and resistance using multi time frame analysis, we can see that the momentum is slowed down, after it touched the support we drew.first, the price broke through the 200 period moving average, made few lower lows.

Then it touched the support level. and since then, it is struggling to go higher. here, it couldn’t even make a new higher high. if we could have seen this chart around 30 minutes ago, we could have taken a short trade, because it couldn’t make a new high, and now it has made a double top.the MACD indicator was also showing a sell signal. like i said, if we would have seen this sooner, we could have sold at the double top, since both, moving average and MACD, are showing a signal to sell.

this doji pattern could have been our entry, and stoploss, would have been, above the high of the pullback. i would have taken profit quickly on this trade, as we are near a strong support line.

Anyway, Since we missed the trade, let’s look at another chart, for a better trade.now, this chart, will take time to create another sell signal. or who knows, it may even go higher, and change the direction of the trend.let’s look at Euro USD. This chart is also in a downtrend. But, it is looking messy. There is a lot of noise on this chart. It is better to avoid this one.Euro GBP, is not in a strong trend.

It seems, it is trying to change the direction of the trend. Euro JPY, also looks like it is trying to change the trend. Unless i see a good trend direction, I’m not risking my money.USD CAD, is in a good up trend, we can tell that, because the price is above the 200 moving average. that been said, i still don’t see a good entry signal, to take the trade yet.

Furthermore, I think, this chart looks over extended, and may fall down, to give a proper pullback. Then we can think about taking a buy entry on this chart.Also, right now, there is an engulfing pattern forming at the resistance. I think, we should take the trade! It looks really good.i will set the stop loss, above the pullback of the trend. and since there is a support near by, i will set profit target, near the support.okay!

let me enter the trade on my trading platform!You can see, how much profit or loss i make, on the right side of the screen.okay! let’s see, if we will make profit, or will lose money!it’s about to hit the profit target!here we go! i had to manually exit the trade, but we made a good profit! well, the trade worked perfectly as we analyzed.

Moving Average Trading Strategy Mistakes Beginner Stock Traders and Forex Traders make in Intraday Trading / Day Trading, Swing Trading. Avoid these and learn the best trading strategies to make money in trading!

Who doesn’t want to turn thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars? before i started making money in stock and Forex trading, this is what my charts used to look like. this trading setup is absolutely garbage. there are better ways to use moving averages for trading! Today, I will show 5 Moving Average Mistakes, You Should avoid, to make more money, than you ever could. Number 5, taking trades on every pullback near a moving average. A lot of new traders, make mistake of taking trades, as soon as the price touches their moving average. #movingaverage #trading #tradingstrategy

Yes, moving average acts as a support and resistance, but not every time. Stock market, and Forex Market, are not your servants, to follow your rules. Market can go straight through your moving average, and change direction of the trend anytime.A better strategy, is to wait for the market to create sell or buy signals. Then and only then, you should enter a trade, with a proper stop loss. This is a game where the impatient person loses money, and a patient person makes more money. Hold your horses, and wait for the right entry signal near the moving average.Number 4, not understanding the difference between Exponential moving average, and simple moving average.Moving average is a lagging indicator. And it can be really bad for you in certain situations.

They don’t take future price movements, events, and high low demands into consideration. If you are day trading, it is a good idea to use Exponential moving average, instead of using simple moving average. That’s because Exponential moving Average will react to sudden price movements quickly, than the slow Simple Moving Average ever will. Third mistake, is trading a flat Moving average. If you find a moving average line looking flat, or in other words, horizontal on a chart, it is an indication that there is no trend going on. Market is not trending and is in a range.If you are using a moving average, you are most likely a trend trader. Remember, trend is your friend. The big market makers move the market, your impact on moving the market is almost null.

If the market is in a range, and is barely making any big moves, it is a good indication that, there are no big market movers trading right now. You should avoid range, to not lose money.Number 2, Not looking at other moving averages at all.Just because a 20 period moving average indicates an up trend, doesn’t always have to mean the market is going to go higher. There maybe a 200 period moving average resistance above, and market may go in the opposite direction instead.
In this case, you will lose money. Some even blame the moving average, for not working properly.It is recommended. to at least use two moving averages on a trading chart! One should be 20 period Exponential Moving Average, and other Should be a 200 period Exponential moving average. 20 E M A, will show you the short term trend, and 200 E M A, will show you the long term trend. They both will acts as a support and resistance on a chart. It is a good rule of thumb, to use 200 period E M A, as your main trend indicator, to have a higher chance of taking trade in the right direction.Number 1 mistake new traders make, is to ignore other support and resistance. I’ve seen this so many times happen.

Just because moving average is showing an up trend, doesn’t have to mean that the market will go higher. There maybe a strong resistance upcoming, that may change the direction of the trend completely.If you see a strong support or resistance coming, you should wait, and see how other people react to it. Furthermore, market won’t always change direction, and give you an accurate pullback. therefore, to increase your winning, it is good idea to take trades, near support and resistance, other than the support of Moving average alone.

if you are a stock trader, you can even use VWAP. VWAP indicator is really important, and will increase your chances of winning even more. I will make a video on VWAP soon.
