Few days ago, I received an email from YouTube, that said something like, some Videos on Trading Rush Channel are very similar to each other. Edit or Delete them to comply with YouTube policies. That’s right! YouTube wants me to delete or edit some of the videos, to comply with YouTube Policies.
Inside the Email, it doesn’t say what videos are similar or repeating. I have uploaded around 45 videos on this channel in the last 2 to 3 months. Every single one of them serve a different purpose. So my guess is, YouTube thinks the videos in the strategies tested 100 times series, are exact copies of each other, because they use a similar title and visually look similar.
I understand that for someone who doesn’t know anything about trading or investing, these videos can look very similar. But anyone who has even a little bit knowledge about stock trading, can tell the videos in this series are very different from each other. Every single video in this series talks about a different indicator.
Furthermore, I think YouTube algorithm thought the entire content was same as the previous videos, because I gave the same explanation during the back testing clips. That makes sense. But If I’m showing something that is different, but has the same explanation, why would I give a different explanation. If I am showing an apple in the video, Why would I talk about an orange.
Since YouTube did not state what content they found similar, I’m guessing the videos in the strategies tested 100 times series. But that’s just a guess.
So I contacted YouTube, and explained the issue from my point of view. Luckily the person I contacted, kind of agreed with my explanation, and helped me appeal the decision made by the Internal YouTube Team. I don’t know, If the internal Team will understand that the videos are not the same. But to avoid any confusions in the future, here’s what we are going to do.
Since we don’t know what videos YouTube thinks are similar, lets say, the videos from the strategies tested 100 times are the problem. In this video series, I tested different trading strategies 100 times. But while showing the back testing clips, I gave the same explanation, because they have the same explanation.
So to make sure future videos in this series, comply with YouTube policies, here are some possible changes I came up with. I want you, the audience of this channel, to choose one of the following changes.
Number 1. This is a guess, but if YouTube thinks the content is same, because of the similar explanation in the voice over, We can simply remove the voice over during the back testing clips. Since the visual content is different in all the videos, all videos will comply with the policies. But the problem with this one is, that viewers who will watch these videos for the first time, won’t understand what time frame, what chart, or what risk to reward, and why I am using it while back testing. In simple words, It will make things confusing for new viewers.
Number 2. Instead of removing the voice over, we can shorten the back testing clips. Since most of the video is unique, YouTube can’t say that the entire video is similar to the previous one. The problem with this one is, that you won’t be able to see the back testing clips properly. You won’t be able to pause the video and analyse every trade I took. It will be same as claiming something, without showing any proof.
Since, YouTube has helped me appeal their own decision, expect new videos less frequently, until I know what exactly you tube thinks is repeating. That way, I won’t have to delete more videos. Right now, there are only 10 videos in the strategies tested 100 times series. 10 out of 45. Like I said, I have requested another review by filing an appeal. I don’t know how much time it will take because of the current pandemic. Till then, expect less Trading videos on this channel. This also includes the small account challenge videos. I will resume the small account challenge from where i left, which was around 40 percent profit. That’s all. Happy Trading, and Go make some profit!
