What’s the win rate of the RSI and ADX trading strategy? Can it make money in the long run? We have tested them both 100 times separately on the Trading Rush Channel, RSI had a profitable win rate, but ADX didn’t! RSI had a profitable win rate because we used it to find the overbought and oversold conditions. But many people use it in an opposite way. Instead of buying when the price is oversold, they buy when the price is overbought. Similarly, instead of selling when the price is overbought, they sell when the price is oversold. Why would anyone sell when the price is already oversold, and why would anyone buy a stock or forex pair, when the price is at the top? Well, according to many traders, when the price is in an uptrend, the overbought RSI level actually means an increase in buying pressure. In simple words, too many people are buying, so the price will go up. Similarly, when the RSI is oversold in a downtrend, it means that too many people are selling, and the price will go down. Now, if you have been watching the Trading Rush Channel for a while, you know I don’t recommend buying the top and selling at the bottom of a move, because there are better ways of entering a trade. But what if we are wrong, and taking opposite trades with the RSI indicator actually makes money? What’s the winrate of RSI with ADX Trading strategy? Well, why don’t we take 100 Trades with it to find the truth? And at the end of the video, I’m going to give it a Trading Rush Score, just like we have given to many other strategies we have tested so far.

By default, the RSI indicator will come with 70 and 30 as overbought and oversold levels respectively. But instead of buying at the bottom of the RSI where the oversold level is, we will buy when the RSI is at the top. So the buy entry in the opposite RSI strategy, is when the RSI crosses above the 70 level. Similarly, instead of selling at the top of the RSI where the overbought level is, we will sell when the RSI is at the bottom. So the sell entry in the opposite RSI trading strategy, is when the RSI crosses below the 30 level. Now subscribers of Trading Rush Channel can already tell, that this trading setup has no trend filter. In this trading setup, you are not only buying at the top, but you will also buy when the price is downtrending. This setup on its own will give a lot of false signals. So to find the direction of the long term trend, we will use the 200 exponential moving average. If price is above it, it means that there is an uptrend going on. And if the price is below it, it means that the price is in a downtrend. But if you look closely, you will find another big problem with taking opposite trades with the RSI indicator. You see, RSI is a range indicator, it works best when the market is in a range. And you can use it in a trending market, to find the end of the pullback. But in this setup, since we are taking opposite signals, almost all signals in the range will be false. Because when the price reaches the overbought level, it will have a higher probability of going down. And when the price reaches the oversold level, it will have a higher probability of going up instead of down. That’s where the ADX indicator comes into play. If you have watched the ADX indicator on the Trading Rush Channel, you know that you can use the ADX indicator, to find if the price is trending or not. When the ADX value is above 25, price is considered to be trending.

So our complete RSI and ADX trading strategy goes something like this, and I took 100 trades with it the same way. The buy entry signal is when, the RSI crosses above the 70 level. But at the same time to filter false signals, price has to be above the 200 period moving average, and ADX value has to be above 25. Since we are buying at the top of the trend, setting the stoploss below the pullback, is not such a good idea. The size of the stoploss will be too big. So instead of setting the stoploss below the pullback, we will use the 21 period exponential moving average, and will set the stoploss below it.

Similarly, the sell entry signal is when, the RSI crosses below the 30 level. But at the same time, price has to be below the 200 moving average, and ADX value has to be above 25. Remember, in both of these setups, ADX has to be above 25, and not below. The stoploss in the short setup, goes above the 21 period exponential moving average.

In this example, RSI is crossing above the 70 level, ADX is above 25, and price is above the 200 moving average. So long entry is when the RSI crosses above 70, and stoploss below the 21 moving average.

And in this example, RSI is crossing below the 30 level, ADX is above 25, and price is below the 200 moving average. So short entry is when the RSI crosses below 30, and stoploss above the 21 moving average.

So I tested the RSI with ADX trading strategy 100 times, and here’s what I found out.

Number 1. ADX is the best part about this trading strategy. Because we are not taking trades with the RSI indicator like most do, the last thing we want is to take trades when the RSI is in a range. And while testing, I found out that ADX was filtering almost all the false signals in the range market. As you can see in the Official Trading Rush App, the profit graph is going up at the start. But then the problems began to appear.

Number 2. Most of the time when RSI crossed above the 70 level, the price was at the top of the trend. You see, most of the time the price is in a range. And when it does move, it doesn’t go infinitely in a straight line. There are strong trends, there are slow trends. So most of the time when you buy when the RSI crosses above 70 level, you end up buying near the top of the swing high. Same applies to the short setup. When you sell at the bottom of the RSI, you end up selling at the bottom of trend. Because of this, the profit graph in the Trading Rush App went down. And the RSI ADX trading strategy lost 13 trades in a row. This is one of the worst strategies we have seen on this channel yet. Interesting how indicators on their own will give a very high win rate, but as soon as you mix a bunch of indicators and create a mess, they will give one of the worst win rates you will see. Bollinger Bands and RSI both had good win rates, but as soon as we mixed them, they gave a horrible win rate as well. After taking 100 trades with the RSI ADX trading strategy, I got an approximate win rate of 36 percent, which is one of the worst win rates we have seen on this channel. There are strategies on this channel that give around 60 percent win rate with the same 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio. In the Trading Rush App, the profit graph went down. The RSI ADX strategy gave 5 winning trades in a row, but lost 13 times in a row. So why don’t we give it a Trading Rush score, and see how it compares with other strategies we have tested so far.

In the win rate category, it gets a 3.5 out of 10. The win rate is bad and if you trade with this strategy, you will actually lose money in the long run.

In the easy to use category, it gets a 6 out of 10. All you have to do is look at the 200 EMA, ADX value, when the RSI crosses above or below a level.

In the Reliability category, it gets a 3.5 out of 10. It gives many false signals when the price is in a slow trend.

In the Consistent Profits category, it gets a 0 out of 10, well because it didn’t make any money, and it gave 13 losing trades in a row.

In the Quality of the trades category, it gets a 3.5 out of ten. The strategy gives buy entry signals at the top of the swing high, and gives sell entry signals when the price is at the bottom. And after taking 100 trades, you saw that trading like this has a lower probability of making money in the long run. Other strategies we have tested on the Trading Rush channel, gave better quality signals. So use them instead!

So the TR score is 16.5 out of 50. And RSI ADX strategy ranks second last, just above the Bollinger Bands RSI trading strategy, and with the CCI indicator.

If you visit brokers websites, you will notice that many of them will have a big paragraph at the bottom with light grey text that will be smaller than an Ant. On some pages, there will be a line that will say something like “73 percent of retail accounts lose money with this broker”. “87 percent of traders lose money with this broker”. I created the Trading Rush Channel in January 2020, so it has been almost a year now, and during this time, I have tested many trading strategies 100 times to find their win rates and to see if they actually work or not. According to brokers, almost 90 percent of retail traders lose money, and over the year, I have seen comments that say something like “you will blow up your account with trading indicators, price action is the king”. Well in this video, since we have real data from the 2500 trades I have taken over the year, why don’t we find out what actually makes money and what blows up your accounts.

If we plot the approximate win rates of almost all trading strategies we have tested in the last year, you will notice that most of them made a profit. The win rates were as high as 62 percent, and as low as 35 percent. Now remember, all the indicators were tested with a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio, so any win rate higher than 40 percent, will make money in the long run. The good strategies with excellent win rates, made profits as high as 5000. But the worst strategy we have tested on this channel, only made a loss of -1250. Now let that sink in for a moment, the worst strategy we have tested on the Trading Rush Channel, only made a loss of -1250. The starting account size in the Trading Rush App was 10000. So the strategy with the highest win rate, made a profit of 50 percent, but the worst strategy only made a loss of approximately negative 10 percent. According to our data, indicator strategies are not the reason for blown up accounts. Let’s be honest, many beginner traders will blow up their accounts way before taking 100 trades with the same strategy. And for those who say “indicator strategies don’t work and price action is the only king”, indicators are calculating their data using the same past you are seeing with your eyes. There are advantages of trading with price action only and there are disadvantages as well. Similarly, there are advantages of using indicators, and there are disadvantages as well. Let’s say you wanted to check someone’s temperature, do you use a thermometer to get an accurate reading, or do you put your finger in their mouth and say “yeah that’s hot”.

Trading indicators shine when it comes to finding the strength of a trend, set a stop loss by taking volatility into consideration, etc.

Indicators and Price Action trading are both useful, so you why not combine both and create a perfect trading strategy?

But if strategies work and give very high win rates like we saw on the Trading Rush Channel, why do people blow up their accounts?

If we look at the losing strategies in our data, we can say that the only time someone is going to blow up their accounts, is when they take around 1000 trades with the worst trading strategy we have tested yet. But like I said before, most people are not going to use the same strategy if it doesn’t make any money even after 100 trades. Most strategies do make money after 100 trades. So another possible answer can be “not using a proper risk management technique”. All the strategies I have tested on the Trading Rush Channel, used a 1 percent of their total account balance per trade. Now there are strategies where 1 percent per trade rule is really unnecessary, because the win rate is very high. There are strategies I use in the stock market, that don’t require me to use 1 percent of the account per trade, because the win rate is more than 80 percent. These strategies are only profitable if you have a bigger account, and want to grow it by only 20 to 30 percent in a year. If you have watched some trading guru make consistent profits, they are probably using these strategies, because there is no reason to not use them if you have a bigger account. I will talk about these strategies in the future videos once I’m done with the basics, because complicated strategies will require you to understand how the stock market works, money management, probability, and how derivative prices are calculated. Bad risk management is the problem that leads to blown up accounts, but lack of basic knowledge is also a big reason. These numbers look really good right? Many strategies have more than 50 percent win rates even with a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio. But still, some are getting lower win rates, while some are getting excellent results. If you have watched other videos on this channel, and are getting lower win rates, try to take one trade at a time, and don’t take multiple trades at the same time. When I tested strategies, I took one trade at a time. Forex pairs move in a similar pattern because of forex correlation. Indicators will give entry signals at almost the same time on multiple pairs. And if you take trades on multiple forex pairs at the same time, and if one trade is lost, the probability of losing multiple trades in a row is high. People don’t see this and blame the strategy for not working.

If you know this and are still losing money, try to take one or two trades a day. When I started trading, I was taking many trades in a short period of time. If one is lost, immediately look for the next one. As a beginner trader, a winning trade will not affect your decision, but a losing trade will. At the beginning when I was losing money in trading, it was not because of a bad strategy, it was because I had found a profitable strategy, but losing trades were affecting my next decisions. You see, when you are in profit, you will properly analyze the next trading setup, for example if the price is in a range or not. But once you lose as a beginner, your main focus will be to recover the loss. Furthermore, if you take revenge trade in a bad market, you can lose multiple trades in a row. To avoid this problem, I decided to stick with 1 or 2 trades a day, with a goal of being in profit by 2 trades at the end of the week. And since then, I haven’t made a big loss in a single day. Now, I understand that taking 1 trade a day is not ideal for everyone, especially if you have a smaller account and want to grow that quickly. Do you want to make money in trading? Do you want a high win rate trading strategy? Well, you are at the right place, because at the end of this video, you will look at trading in a different way, and if you follow everything mentioned in this video, you can have a very high win rate in trading. Remember to watch other strategy videos on the Trading Rush, because some of them have a high win rate already even with a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio. In this video, you will see how to increase that win rate even more.

To learn how to get a profitable win rate, let’s look at a theory. Let’s say there is bill the first and bill the second. Bill the first is looking to buy an apple, so he goes to bill the second who is selling some apples. On the first day, the price of an apple is 8 dollars. Bill the first sees this and remembers, that the price of an apple was 3 dollars just yesterday. 8 dollars for an apple is way too much compared to yesterday’s price. Bill the first was going to buy an apple for 8 dollars, but suddenly, this new information is affecting his decision. When Bill the second says, the price in the morning was as high as 10 dollars, and asks if he wants to buy an apple for 8 dollars which is much cheaper? Bill the first says no thanks, because they are overpriced. He will come back later when the price is fair.

So he goes home, watches some Trading Rush videos, and comes back, only to realize that the price of an apple is gone up. One apple is trading for 20 dollars. Bill the first says “man I should have bought it when the price was low”. Suddenly, a 10 dollars apple that was overpriced just yesterday, is now a great deal. Bill the second says, don’t wait, buy them now, who knows if the price will go higher or lower. Bill the first says no thanks, because they are overpriced. He will come back later when the price is fair.

On the third day, prices are down, and an apple is selling for 10 dollars. On the first day, Bill the first thought 10 dollars was very high and the price wouldn’t go higher. On the second day when the price did go higher, the 10 dollars price tag was suddenly cheaper. Now that the apple is trading for 10 dollars, Bill the first is really happy and is willing to buy the apples at 10 dollars without a second thought. He thinks that he is getting a better deal right now, because the price was as high as 20 dollars, and who knows if he will get a better deal ever again.

Now If you plot the prices of apples using a candlestick chart, you will notice that it looks very similar to an up trending forex or stock market chart. Every time the price made a new swing high, the price was overpriced for Bill the first. And when the price came down from 20 dollars to 10 dollars, Bill the first felt like he was getting a 50 percent discount. In the real world, people like discounts on most products, but in the forex and stock market, many beginner traders buy when the price is at the top of the trend. Many don’t buy stocks like they buy other products. Stocks don’t always go to the moon, in other words, stonks don’t always go up.

But there are people who think like Bill the first, and they will patiently wait for the price to give a discount. If you have been trading for a while, you might have heard someone say “buy the dip”. It basically means buying an asset after a decline in price. If you had purchased the dips this year during the market crash, you would have gotten some major discounts and would be sitting with some profit. Lets look at an example. Here is a real chart of a stock, and as you can see price is in an uptrend. It is very similar to the chart of the apple prices we saw earlier. It’s like the price went from 3 to 10 dollars, then 8 to 20 dollars. And when the price came back down to the previous swing high, many people bought the stock as it looked like a big discount. Many traders will draw lines on these price levels and will call them support and resistance areas. And if you have been following everything in this video so far, like the video if you have, you now know how and why support and resistance work. Price has a higher probability of reversing from these levels, but you can’t immediately buy when the price touches these areas, because you don’t know the exact point of the reversal. Prices can reverse from little bit above or little bit below the area. That’s where a profitable trading strategy comes into play. For example, a trading strategy like the MACD strategy we discussed on the Trading Rush Channel, which had a profitable win rate on its own, can get a higher win rate if you take trades near these important price levels.

In an uptrend, these price levels will act as strong support levels, and since price has a higher probability of moving in the upward direction from a support level, you can increase the win rate of any trend trading strategy even more, by taking entry signals near these price levels. Furthermore, if you know there is an important price level nearby, you use that information to set a better stop loss as well.

For example, on this chart, we know price is in an uptrend. Instead of buying at the top, you patiently wait for a pullback. You use the MACD indicator to find the entry point. MACD gave an entry signal right here. The stop loss according to the MACD strategy we discussed on the Trading Rush channel, goes below or above the pullback. In this example, since price is up trending, the stop loss goes below the pullback. But if you look closely, the distance between the pullback and the support area is not much. So instead of setting the stop loss below the pullback, you can set it below the support area. This way, the chances of price hitting your stop loss will be lower. After taking 100 trades with the MACD strategy, we know that MACD strategy was a profitable strategy in the long run. But in this trade, you have increased the chances of winning even more, by setting the stop loss below a level where price has a higher probability of reversing. If you are supporting the channel on Patreon and have seen my trade analysis, you can probably tell that I wouldn’t have taken the first MACD trade, and would have waited for the price to come down after the second MACD signal, to get a better reward risk ratio before the swing high.

In this example, traders who went long at the first pullback are happy, and may add their position when the price gives another discount. Traders who thought price will come down even more during the first pullback, missed the big upward move, and will also buy if the price gives another discount. And traders who just saw this move, will also create a buying pressure. In simple words, there will be a high demand to buy the stock near this price area. And price did react from the support area, and MACD gave another signal. As you can see, by thinking like Bill the first, you could have made money. So be like Bill.

Can Chaikin oscillator trading strategy make you more money in stock or forex trading? We tested the money flow index 100 times on the Trading Rush channel, I found out that the money flow index has an Ok win rate and can sometimes make money. Then we tested the Chaikin money flow 100 times, and that worked as well. What will happen if we test the chaikin oscillator 100 times, will it perform better? In this video, I’m going to test the Chaikin oscillator 100 times to find its win rate, and to see how many winners and losers it can have in a row. Furthermore, at the end, I’m going to give it a Trading Rush score. What’s the Trading Rush score? It’s like the Doug score, but for trading indicators. Now I have tested many other indicators 100 times on the Trading Rush channel, but I never gave them a Trading Rush score, so I will rate other indicators hopefully in the coming week as well, which you will be able to find on the Official Trading Rush Website. This way, beginner traders who are looking for proven profitable strategies, can find it easily on the Trading Rush Channel, not just sorting by highest win rate, but with other categories as well.

If you plot the Chaikin oscillator on your trading chart, you will notice that it comes with 1 line that moves above and below zero. This line tries to show the momentum of a trend. The Chaikin oscillator will try to show the buying and selling pressure. Indicators like the Chaikin oscillator, which try to show the momentum of a trend, have worked really well on this channel. So let’s see if this indicator performs good as well after 100 trades.

The idea is pretty simple, when the Chaikin oscillator is above the zero line, the buying pressure is high.

Similarly, when the Chaikin oscillator is below the zero line, the selling pressure is high.

The basic strategy based around the Chaikin oscillator goes like this. When the Chaikin oscillator is crossing above the zero line, it’s a buy signal.

And when the Chaikin oscillator crosses below the zero line, it’s a sell signal.

In this example, the Chaikin oscillator crossed above the zero line. So entry is at the first candle that closed above the zero line of the Chaikin oscillator. And in this example, the Chaikin oscillator crossed below the zero line. So entry is when the first candle closes below the zero line.

But what about long term? Will this indicator

work in the long run? Before we test the Chaikin oscillator 100 times, we will have to modify the Chaikin oscillator strategy to fit with the trend. Taking every single trade will make you lose money. But we can use the 200 E MA to find the long term trend direction.

So the better chaikin oscillator trading strategy goes something like this.

Buy when the Chaikin oscillator crosses above the zero line, and if price is above the 200 E MA. As for the stop loss, you can set it below the pullback.

And Sell when the Chaikin oscillator crosses below the zero line, and if price is below the 200 E MA. Stop Loss is above the pullback. Furthermore, in both of these setups, the entire candle has to be above or below the 200 period moving average.

In this example, the price stayed above the 200 E MA, so we are only going to buy. The Chaikin oscillator gave a long entry signal, so entry is at the closing price of the candle. Stop Loss is below the swing low.

In this example, the price stayed below the 200 E MA, so we are only going to sell. The Chaikin oscillator gave a short signal, so the short entry is at the closing price of the candle that crosses below the zero line, and set the stop loss above the swing high.

The Chaikin oscillator trading strategy was tested on the 30 min timeframe and on the Euro JPY pair. And after testing the Chaikin oscillator 100 times, here’s what happened.

Number 1. At the start, when price was in an uptrend, Chaikin oscillator gave multiple winning trades in a row. The indicator gives many entry signals in a short period of time, but these entry signals are not bad like some other indicators we have seen on this channel.

When the trend was coming to an end or was changing direction, the Chaikin oscillator did give a decent amount of false signals, but it makes up for that by giving many good signals in a strong trend.

You can see this in the Trading Rush App, when the price was trending, the profit line was going up. Then it slowly went down when the price was changing the trend direction or was moving slowly. It gave back some of the profit it made, but when price started to move again in one direction, it made even more profit. You can filter the range market by using other indicators like the alligator. I have already discussed more about the alligator indicator on the Trading Rush channel, check it out to learn more.

Number 2. Unlike some other indicators, there is nothing particularly bad about the Chaikin Oscillator. The entry signals it gives are not late most of the time, and because of this, your pullback stop loss stays smaller.

After testing the Chaikin oscillator 100 times, I got an approximate win rate of 47 percent, which is a profitable win rate because we used a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio. The profit graph in the Trading Rush App looks good and is going up, with few pullbacks when the price starts moving sideways. In the end, it managed to make money, with 7 losses in a row, but 11 winning trades in a row.

And now, let’s give the Chaikin oscillator a Trading Rush score.

In the win rate category, Chaikin oscillator gets a 5.5 out of 10. Win rate is good and profitable, but not high as some other trading strategies we have seen on the Trading Rush channel.

In the easy to use category, it gets a 7.5 out of 10. The Chaikin oscillator strategy is fairly straightforward and all you have to do is look at a line when it crosses above or below another line.

If we talk about the reliability category, it gets a 6 out of 10. The Chaikin oscillator gives many winning trades in a row, but also gives many false signals in a row. Strategies that give multiple signals in a short period of time, are usually not that good, because when price stays in the sideways direction for a long time, you can lose a lot of money if the signals are false.

If we talk about consistent profits, it gets a 5 out of 10. The profit graph in the Trading Rush App went up in the long run, but there were sudden upward moves, and many losing trades in a row. The profit graph you will get with the Chaikin oscillator strategy won’t be as consistent as some other strategies.

If we talk about the quality of the entry signals, the Chaikin oscillator strategy we tested in this video, gives entry signals in the direction of the long term trend direction, where price has higher probability of moving. And because it doesn’t give late entry signals most of the time, it gets a 7 out of 10.

So the overall Trading Rush score is 31 out of 50. Other trading strategies that had excellent win rates after testing 100 times, will get a Trading Rush score soon.

How I get more than 60% WIN RATE with this Trading Strategy? Last time I made a video like this, many people emailed me and said that that was one of the best trading videos they have seen. In this video, you will see how to significantly increase the win rate of your trading strategy in the live markets. That’s right, in this video, I’m going to find 2 trading opportunities in the live markets and you will see how one of them was a really bad trap. If you haven’t watched the 5 steps trading strategy video, go watch now.

Since I promised to show everything with live examples and not with some hand picked setups, one of the first thing we have to do is find a trading chart that is good and where your trading strategy is giving an entry signal. I have already talked about selecting the good trading chart in the 5 step strategy video, so after following the first few steps mentioned in that video, I found two charts where a profitable strategy was giving an entry signal. In this example, I’m using the MACD Trading Strategy. MACD strategy gave one of the best win rates when we tested it 100 times on the Trading Rush channel. Obviously, the key to getting a high win rate even with a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio, is using a profitable trading strategy. And subscribers of the Trading Rush channel know that MACD is your best bet in this department. If you don’t know about the MACD strategy, check out the first video on this channel.

On the USD JPY pair, MACD strategy is about to give a short entry signal. At first glance, you might say this entry signal is good, because price is in a downtrend, and if we look to the left, price is even at the resistance area. If we wait for the MACD entry signal and take a short trade, we can set the stop loss above the pullback of the trend, and it looks like the price has enough room to go down and has a high probability of touching the 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio profit target. But hold that thought.

This is a 30 min chart, if we switch to the 4h timeframe, and zoom out a little, you will notice something. If you look to the left, price is near a strong support area. Furthermore, last time when price came near this price area, it made a big move in the upward direction. A lot of buyers were interested in this area, and right now price is near it again. Which means, that even though the entry signal on the entry time frame was looking nice and dandy, it is not. If you sell right here, it’s like entering a lion’s den, because chances of buyers eating all the sellers near the strong support are fairly good.

So I found another trading opportunity, this was on USD CAD, and as you can see, on this chart, price is in an uptrend. The price action is clean enough, and MACD is about to give an entry signal. Furthermore, if we look at the higher timeframe, the next strong resistance area is far away. There is a weak resistance area, but that is far away as well. It’s not that far, but since this resistance is a weak resistance, chances of price moving in the downward direction are pretty low, but not zero, so we should try to book profit before it. If you don’t know how to draw support and resistance properly, check out the support and resistance video on the Trading Rush Channel. So if we switch back to our entry timeframe, we now know that price is in an uptrend on the higher timeframe and has a higher probability of moving up. On this chart, price is making higher swing highs and higher swing lows, and right now, we are waiting for the price to turn around and go up. How will we know when the price is turning around to go up? Well that’s where the MACD indicator comes into play. You see, MACD indicator is a momentum indicator. It will show the strength and weakness of the trend. In this case, we are using it to find the strength and weakness of the downward momentum. I have already made a detailed video about the best part of the MACD indicator, check it out to learn more. In simple words, what we are looking for is the crossover of the MACD and signal line. When the MACD line, which in this case is blue in color, crosses above the signal line, which is orange in color, we will take a long entry signal. We will set the stoploss below the pullback of the trend.

Since we are using the MACD Trading Strategy, and since MACD has not given an entry signal yet, we will wait until MACD gives a long entry signal. How long do we have to wait? Well.

I recorded this video on the 29th of October, and never really completed it. Everything I discussed so far works on both forex and stocks, I chose forex in this example because it is open 24hrs a day, and because showing a live example is much better than showing a hand picked setup from the past. After finding this setup, I never came back to see what happened to this trade. Well because I was teaching my computer to trade on its own that time for the AI Trades video. In that video, we saw how Bill the computer actually made money on its own by taking trades with emotions and with the Beep Boop indicator. And because of that, we saw how the Beep Boop indicator was surprisingly good in some of the videos after that. So this video was forgotten. I was going to delete it, but maybe some will find this useful. And since we still haven’t looked at how the two trades performed, let’s go back to the 29th Oct to find out.

As you can see, on the USD JPY pair, price reacted to the strong support area we drew and made a move in the upward direction. You could have made money if you had entered at the MACD signal on the entry timeframe, but like I said before, this was not a good trading setup. Price was near a strong support area, sure this trade was a winner, but in the long term, setups like these will make you lose money. The good setup we found on the USD CAD pair, made a profit. We found a long trading opportunity where price was in an uptrend, and with a long entry at the MACD entry signal, we could have gotten a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio trade before the weak resistance. Depending on what exit strategy you use, you could have made more profit and could have gotten a higher reward risk ratio.

Strategies like the MACD, give good win rates on their own. But if you analyze the markets like we did in this video, you can significantly improve your trading strategy and get a higher win rate, especially if you are getting win rates around 50 to 55 percent.

Can you make money with the Martingale Trading Strategy? I mean this strategy has 100% chance of success on paper, so can you make money with it as well? In this video, I took more than 100000 virtual trades so you can know the truth about the Martingale Trading Strategy. Martingale Strategy dates back to the 18 century, and many places especially in Las Vegas have banned it, because the probability of making money with it is 100% if your pockets are deep enough that is. The idea is pretty simple, when you lose money, double the trade amount, and keep doubling until you have a winner. If your risk on a trade is 100 dollars, you will make 100 dollars if your trade wins with a 1 to 1 reward risk ratio. But if you lose the first trade, you multiply your previous risk by 2 times. So when you win, you will recover the loss, and be in profit by one trade. But does that really work? Sure people used to use it before, and managed to make money where their probability of winning was not great. But can you make money with it in forex or stock market, where your probability of success is a lot better? On the Trading Rush Channel, we have tested many different trading strategies 100 times to see if they actually work or not. After testing, many strategies gave win rates around 55 percent even with a reward risk ratio of 1.5 to 1. Which means, that if you use a profitable trading strategy mentioned on the Trading Rush Channel, you should be able to make money. And if you use a 1 to 1 reward risk ratio instead of 1.5 to 1, you should easily get a win rate of more than 55 percent, or at least 55 percent.

Let’s say you have watched other videos on this channel and you have a trading strategy with a 55 percent win rate. For this experiment, let’s set the account size to 10000 dollars, and set our initial risk on trade to 100 dollars. In other words, we will risk 1 percent of the account on the first trade and the trade after a winner, but if we lose a trade, it’s a different story because the risk will be multiplied by 2 times. If you search martingale strategy graphs on google, you will find graphs like these, where total balance is going up with few downward spikes. In the end, it made money. So if we simulate trades with a 55 percent approximate win rate, we should also get a similar result right?

In the first attempt, I ran the simulation until it took the 1000th trade to see what happens. I will explain what the 100 red and green cubes are in a moment. But before that, look at the winners and losers and the balance graph. As you can see, the martingale strategy is making money even after 100 trades. And after 200 trades, the account size is more than doubled with a win rate of approximately 55 percent. If we fast forward a little bit, the martingale trading strategy has still not made a loss or blown up the account even after 500 trades. In the first attempt, the results were pretty interesting and can be shocking for some experienced traders, because after 1000 trades, the martingale trading strategy actually made a lot of money. The account size at the start was 10000, but after 1000 trades it’s around 66000. The profit graph also looks very similar and profitable to the one we saw on google. Does this mean the martingale strategy works? Well, not exactly, I will take 100000 trades in a few seconds. But before that, I want you to understand one thing. You see, a normal profitable trading strategy, lets say a strategy with 55 percent win rate, can give around 10 losing trades in a row, and sometimes even more. With a normal trading strategy, where risk on trade remains the same with every trade, you will only lose 10 percent of the entire account if you lose 10 trades in a row and if your risk was 1 percent per trade. But with the martingale trading strategy, if you lose multiple trades in a row, the risk on trade becomes a lot bigger than 1 percent. And at one point, martingale strategy will force you to put your entire account on the line.

The 100 red and green cubes you are seeing on your screen, are 100 different trading bots. Every single one of them has 10000 dollars to trade with, and all of them are using a strategy that has a 55 percent win rate. Furthermore, every single one of them is going to take 1000 unique trades with the martingale trading strategy. So in total, we are taking 100000 unique trades with the martingale strategy. Lets see if they make money or which one of them blows up their account.

Lets start, and within 10 trades ladies and gentlemen, one of the trading bots has blown up their account. We will see their balance graph in a moment. And soon after with just 12 trades, the second contestant is out of the game. Another bot gives up at the 15th trade. Looks like the red team forgot to get their Trading Rush Merch because they are losing left and right. There goes the first loser of the green team. With just 30 trades, 5 bots have blown up their 10000 dollars account. There are still more than 950 trades to go, so if we fast forward a bit, you will see contestants from both teams falling left and right. After 100 trades, 11 contestants have blown up their accounts, such a disappointment. After 500 trades, 31 bots are blaming their brokers for trading against them. And as we come closer to the 1000 trades mark, 43 have lost the game with the martingale strategy.

If we look at the balance graph of the bot that lost first, you will see that they managed to make money at the start, but their luck ended there because then they had 7 losing trades in a row. Here are some other balance graphs of the contestants that blew up their accounts. Now remember, their ending account balance is negative. This will happen if they have a broker that doesn’t have a negative balance protection. Now in today’s world, many brokers will close the positions when the account reaches zero even if you used a high margin to take the last trade. Here’s the balance graph of the contestant that lost near the end. This one is pretty interesting because this contestant managed to make more than 50000 in profit with a starting balance of only 10000. But after the 971th trade, they had 10 losing trades in a row, and because of the martingale strategy, they blew up their account on the 981th trade. This one is a good lesson, because it shows that you can make a lot of money with the martingale trading strategy in the forex and stock market, but in the end, there is still a chance of you blowing up the account. Martingale strategy works 100% of the time, but for that, you will need some real deep pockets. In this experiment, we were risking 1 percent of the total account as the initial risk. When the contestant had 10 losers in a row, it lost everything. But what if we had used a 0.1% of the total account balance as the initial risk. Well then you would have required a higher win rate strategy. Because a strategy with around 55 win rate and 0.1% initial risk can still blow up the account with the martingale strategy.

0.1% of 10000 is 10 dollars, imagine risking a $10000 account just to make 10 dollars. Why shouldn’t you use the martingale trading strategy in the forex and stock market? I think you can answer that question by yourself now.

Is this indicator better than the MACD indicator? and will it make you more money in trading? In this video, I took 100 trades with a MACD look a like, and the results were pretty interesting. As you know, MACD was the best performing indicator we have seen on the Trading Rush Channel. If an indicator can perform better than the MACD indicator, it will be a big deal, because MACD strategy with a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio gave a win rate of more than 60 percent after testing 100 times, and if we stumble upon a new strategy or indicator that gives more win rate than that, we will be talking big profits. There is an indicator that looks very similar to the MACD indicator. Is this the next big thing? Will this make more money than the MACD strategy? Let’s find out.

Know Sure Thing is a momentum based indicator just like the MACD indicator. On the TradingView Platform, it looks like this, and as you can tell, it looks very similar to the MACD indicator. There is a KST line and a signal line, and the Know Sure Thing value crosses above and below a zero line. Since this is a momentum indicator, traders use it to spot all kinds of momentum indicator things like divergences and crossovers. What we want is to find out if it actually works in the long run. There are multiple trading strategies based around the KST indicator, and Here’s how one of the Know Sure Thing Strategy goes.

When the KST line crosses above or below the signal line, it can indicate a change in momentum. So when the KST or Know Sure Thing line crosses above the signal line, it’s a buy signal. Furthermore, the KST value has to be below the 0 line. Similarly, when the KST line crosses below the signal line, it is a sell signal. Furthermore, the sell crossover has to be above the zero line.

Here’s an example, the KST line crosses above the signal line and the crossover is below the zero line. If you would have bought it here, KST would have made you money. And in this example, the KST line crosses below the signal line, and the crossover is above the zero line. If you would have sold after the crossover, KST would have made you a profit. But wait, don’t be fooled by looking at these hand picked setups. This doesn’t mean that this strategy is profitable at all. If you have watched other videos on the Trading Rush Channel, like the video if you have, you already know there is one thing wrong with this setup. In this Know Sure Thing Setup, Know Sure Thing Doesn’t Know the Long term trend direction. And subscribers of this channel know that you can increase your chances of making money as a trader by taking trades in the long term trend direction.

If you take all entry signals given by the Know Sure Thing Indicator, you will probably lose money because know sure thing can give short entry signals in a strong up trending market, and vice versa. So to fix that, we will use the 200 period exponential moving average. This will show you the direction of the long term trend direction, and filter false signals.

So the complete modified Know Sure Thing Trading Strategy goes something like this. If the crossover is below the zero line, and above the 200 period moving average, The Long entry signal is when the KST line crosses above the signal line. Crossover below the zero line, and above the 200 period moving average. Stop loss below the pullback.

Similarly, If the crossover is above the zero line, and below the 200 period moving average, the short entry signal is when the KST line crosses below the signal line. Above the zero line, but below the 200 period moving average. Stoploss goes above the pullback of the trend.

In this example, price is in a strong uptrend, we can tell it is in an uptrend because it is staying above the moving average. The KST indicator gave a bullish crossover below the zero line. So the entry is after the crossover, and stoploss is below the pullback.

Here, price is below the 200 period moving average, so we will only look for short entry signals. The KST indicator gave a short entry signal, and the signal was above the zero line. So the entry is after the crossover, and stoploss is above the pullback.

Now that you understand how the strategy works, let’s test the Know Sure Thing Trading Strategy 100 times, to make sure the know sure thing actually knows what it is talking about. After testing 100 times, here’s what I found out.

Number 1. Know Sure Thing is just like other momentum indicators, it shows the strength and weakness. You can use this information to find if the pullback of a trend is getting weaker or not. Obviously, we are using the KST indicator as a trend following indicator, and in a trend, we are using it to find the end of a pullback. And while testing, it was indicating the end of the pullbacks with a good accuracy. Now, I say good, but it is not as accurate as the MACD indicator. Earlier in this video, you saw me compare it with the MACD indicator, and if you put them side by side, they visually look very similar. In fact, if you remove the histogram from the MACD indicator, most people probably won’t be able to tell the difference between the two. But if you look closely, you will notice something. During backtesting, the KST indicator was not as good as the MACD indicator, and if you look closely, you will notice why. As you can see, the entry signals given by the KST indicator are a little bit late than the entry signals given by the MACD indicator.

Look at this example. Price is in a downtrend, and both of them gave a short entry signal. But as you can tell, the MACD signal was way better than the KST signal. With the MACD signal, with entry at the MACD candle and stop loss above the pullback, you could have made 3 times more profit than your risk. But on the other hand, after the KST signal, price didn’t even go down enough to reach the 1 to 1 reward risk ratio.

In other words, the KST indicator is indicating the end of a pullback quite accurately, but it is a bit late, especially when compared with the MACD signals. Because of this, the probability of the price reaching you higher reward risk ratio profit target becomes lower.

In the end, after 100 trades with the Know Sure Thing Indicator, I found out that the win rate of the KST indicator is approximately 52 percent with a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio. In the Official Trading Rush App, you can see that the Know Sure Thing Trading strategy made a profit! It made a profit of 3000. The highest profit was 3300. The profit graph also looks consistent with 6 losses in a row, but 7 winners in a row. This win rate is not as bad as some other trading strategies we have seen, but not as good as some other strategies we have tested on the Trading Rush Channel. But one thing is sure, the Know Sure Thing really knows what it is talking about. Can you make money in trading with the Renko Charts? If Renko charts are really that good, why do most professional traders don’t use them? To answer that question, I want you to look at these two trading charts, both charts are of the same stock, but one of them is a Renko chart, and the other one is a normal candlestick chart. Some people say that their trading guru, who has more than 40 years of experience in trading, uses and makes money with the Renko Charts. But if you look at the charts of some professional traders you know, you will most likely not find a Renko chart on their screens. They will probably stick with the normal candlestick or a bar chart, that’s because even though Renko charts look amazing on the past data, they can easily make you lose money in the live markets. Now I’m not saying they are bad, in fact, for some traders, they can be a jackpot. In this video, I’m going to show you what Renko Charts really are in the live markets, and the good way to use them.

What you are seeing on your screen are two live trading charts of a stock. On the right side, it’s the normal candlestick chart, but on the left side, it’s the Renko Chart, and as you can already tell, Renko Charts look very clean, and much easier to read than the candlestick chart. Now, the right side candlestick chart might be difficult to read because it is zoomed out too far, but there is a reason for that. You see, the reason Renko charts look very easy to read, is because they lack some of the price data. The renko bars are not exactly dependent on the time. By that I mean, Renko Bars don’t have an expiry. A renko bar is built using the price movement, rather than both price and the timeframe. A new renko bar is only formed, when price moves a specific amount, and if price doesn’t move, a new renko bar won’t be formed, and the current renko bar won’t be closed.

Because of this, renko charts are very popular among beginner traders, as they can be used to identify the trend, and filter the range and noisy markets. In most cases, renko bar size is automatically calculated and set by the charting platform using the ATR values. But with the right renko settings, if the price gets noisy, no new renko bar will appear. But if you are a beginner trader, and have never seen renko charts before, Renko charts can be very misleading. For example, If you look at past data like this, and think that you could have made a lot of money with the Renko charts, by entering here and exiting when the bars changed their color, you would have made less money than what you think.

You see, renko bars are not always formed brick by brick, in other words, one after another. In many cases, multiple renko bars can appear at the same time. That’s because, a green renko bar only appears, if the price makes a move up, and the normal candle of that timeframe, actually closes after making a move above a specific price.

For example, if the renko bar size was 5 dollars, a new green bar will only appear if the price moves more than 5 dollars in the upward direction. But here’s a twist, even though renko bars have no expiration and stay at one place for a long time if the price doesn’t move anywhere, renko bars are still dependent on the timeframe you have selected. Like I said before, in simple words, renko bars depend on the closing price of the normal candles. Let’s say you have selected the 2 min time frame, so every normal candle is closing after every 2 mins. Because of this, if the renko bar size is 5 dollars, a new green bar can disappear, if the price makes a move up, but closes with less than 5 dollars move. The point is, even if the price movement looks really clean on the renko charts on the past data, you won’t always catch the entire move in the liive markets. Here’s a real example, where renko bars formed multiple same color candles in a row.

Now, one might think that they could have made a lot of money by entering when the bar changed its color, and exiting when it changed the color again. But if you compare it side by side with the normal candlestick, you can see that, instead of entering at the closing price of the first renko bar, you would have entered right here, which is a completely different price point than what we thought before. Similar thing with the exit signal. The exit is not at the closing price of this Renko bar, but at a different price point. Still, you can make a big profit if the price makes a big move in your favor. If that’s so, why won’t you see professional traders use the renko charts while trading? Well, the answer is pretty simple, with a good trading strategy on the candlestick chart, you can enter at a much better price than where you would enter with Renko bars. And if you want to catch a big profit, simply use a moving average and trail your stop loss with it. It will give similar results like the Renko bars, maybe even better. Furthermore, Renko charts don’t show high and low points of a price movement. And they don’t tell you if the price is in a range for a long time or not. This information for an experienced trader can be very useful to trade breakouts. Also, normal candles give a lot of information about the number of buyers and sellers trading in the market with their different candle sizes.

If the Renko chart for taking entries is not as good as the candlestick chart, what good is it then? Renko chart is not exactly bad, it’s just that everything that Renko charts offers can be achieved on the normal candlestick chart. But if you are a beginner trader, you can use the Renko charts to read the market structure. And since Renko charts are easier to read, you can use them to find strong price areas where price has potential to react from.

As you can see, potential support and resistance areas are easier to spot on the Renko chart. And remember, support and resistance is an area, and not a single line on a chart. Price won’t react exactly from the support and resistance you draw, it can do that from little bit above or below.

So here are the important points you should note.

Number 1. Renko charts filter noise that beginner traders can take advantage of to read the price structure easily.

Number 2. Renko bars can take forever to form if the price doesn’t move up or down. But remember, Renko bars are dependent on the timeframe you have chosen. Since Renko bars are based on the closing price of the timeframe, multiple candles can form or disappear. And sometimes, one can lose a lot of money if the price suddenly makes a big move in the opposite direction before the new Renko bars are completely formed.

Number 3. Renko charts have a lot of limitations. Many don’t use Renko charts because candlestick charts provide more information. If you want to catch the big move, just trail your stop loss using a moving average. And use the Renko charts to find the support and resistance areas.

Is the Awesome Oscillator really that awesome in trading? Can you actually make money with it as a trader? I mean it is a momentum indicator, and momentum indicator combined with the trend, have worked really well on the Trading Rush Channel. To find out if the Awesome Indicator works or not, I tested it 100 times. Furthermore, I got curios after seeing the results, and tested the MACD strategy 100 times again, to compare it with the awesome indicator. So in this video, I tested the Awesome Oscillator and the MACD strategy 100 times, and here’s what happened.

The Awesome Oscillator was created by Bill Williams, and you have probably heard this name before on this channel, because some of the useful indicators we have tested on the Trading Rush channel, were created by Bill Williams. The alligator indicator was one of them, and it is one of the most useful indicators to identify the trend. Awesome Oscillator is used to find the trend direction and the possible reversal points. It uses the simple moving averages to calculate its values, and calculates the difference of a 34 and 5 period Simple Moving Averages, but here’s a twist. Unlike the usual simple moving averages where values are calculated using the closing price of the candles, simple moving averages in the awesome oscillator uses the mid point of the candle to calculate it’s values.

This is how the Awesome Oscillator looks like on the TradingView Platform, and since the awesome oscillator is an oscillator, it oscillates between values that are above and below the zero line. At the first glance , an Awesome Oscillator looks very similar to the histogram of the MACD indicator. So will it work as good as the MACD strategy? In the Awesome Oscillator, a green bar appears if the value is higher than the previous value. And a red bar appears if the value is lower than the previous value. So when the Awesome Oscillator value is below the zero line, it indicates a downtrend. And if the Awesome Oscillator value is above the zero line, it indicates an uptrend, Simple as that.

Now, there are 3 popular trading strategies that are based around the Awesome Oscillator. In this video, the strategy that I have tested 100 times, is called the zero line cross. As you can tell by the name, this Awesome Oscillator Trading Strategy is really simple. The entry signal in the strategy is generated using the zero line of the Awesome Oscillator. The Buy signal is when the awesome oscillator crosses above the zero line, and the sell signal is when the awesome oscillator crosses below the zero line. Pretty straight forward, but if you have been watching the Trading Rush Channel for a while, you know that pretty straight forward strategies like these are not that good on their own, because they don’t consider the long term trend direction. So we will use the 200 exponential moving average with the awesome oscillator, to make sure we take entry signals only in the direction of the long term trend direction.

So here’s how the modified awesome oscillator trading strategy goes. The long entry signal is when the awesome oscillator crosses above the zero line, only if the entry candle is above the 200 period moving average. And the short entry signal is when the awesome oscillator crosses below the zero line, and if the entry candle is below the 200 period moving average. In this example, price was above the moving average which indicates an uptrend. In this uptrend, the awesome oscillator crosses above the zero line, so the long entry is at the closing price of the candle, and stop loss is below the pullback. In this short example, price was below the moving average which indicates a downtrend. And in this downtrend, the awesome oscillator crosses below the zero line, so the short entry is at the closing price of the candle, and stop loss is above the pullback of the trend.

So I tested the Awesome Oscillator, Zero Line Cross Trading Strategy 100 times, here’s what I found out.

Number 1. Now I test and have tested many different trading strategies on the same pair and on the same timeframe. Furthermore, I use the same 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio, so when I test a new strategy, it is tested in almost the same market structure and conditions as the previous strategy. In the last testing video, I tested the fractal breakout strategy. Now, both the awesome oscillator, and the fractal breakout strategy, took their first few trades when the price was in a strong long term uptrend. If you look at the profit graph of the fractal trading strategy in the Trading Rush App, you will see that it went up, which means that the entry signals given by the fractal indicator were profitable. But if you look at the profit graph of the awesome oscillator in the Trading Rush App, you will notice that the awesome oscillator didn’t make much money in the same uptrend. Furthermore, the profit line instead of going up, went down. Why the awesome oscillator couldn’t make money like the fractal breakout strategy, even though the market conditions were almost the same? Well, while testing, I noticed that the awesome oscillator gives entry signals way too late. When I say way too late, I’m not exaggerating, because while testing, I realized that Awesome Oscillator gives entry signals similar to MACD trading strategy.

So I tested the MACD strategy 100 times, again, in the same market conditions, but this time, I didn’t follow all the MACD rules that I mentioned in the previous MACD videos. And after testing the MACD strategy in the same market conditions like the awesome oscillator, the MACD got a win rate of approximately 60 percent, whereas Awesome Oscillator only got a win rate of approximately 42 percent. MACD, without following all of its rules, still managed to get a win rate of 60 percent. Just don’t focus on the profit graph of the MACD this time, because I added trades in bulk to make testing faster. But after testing both MACD and Awesome Oscillator on the same market structure, I found out that the Awesome Oscillator gives way to late entry signals than the MACD signals. Just look at this example. Here, price is in a downtrend, but MACD and the awesome oscillator, give entry signals at very different points. One is way too late than the other. Because of the late signals, the probability of price reaching the 1.5 to 1 reward risk profit target becomes lower. Now one can say, if the price can’t reach the 1.5 to 1 reward ratio profit target easily, why not reduce the size of the stoploss, that way, we can achieve a good reward risk ratio even if the price makes a small move. Setting a smaller stop loss using the ATR indicator can be a good idea, and it can increase the win rate of this strategy, but the fact still says that the entry signals given by the awesome oscillator are late. Since there is a big difference between a 42 percent win rate, and the 60 percent win rate, you are always better off with a strategy that gives more than 60 percent win rate even with a 1.5 to 1 reward risk ratio.

In the Trading Rush App, the awesome oscillator didn’t make much profit, it got more losers in a row than the number of winners it got in row, and the profit graph also doesn’t look that good compared to some other trading strategies we have seen on the Trading Rush Channel. For example, here’s the profit graph of the original MACD strategy that followed all the MACD rules, as you can see, this is more consistent than the awesome oscillator achieved here. But, that’s just the zero line cross strategy. It made money in the end, but not like some other indicators. In the future videos, we will test the two other strategies that are also based on the Awesome Oscillator.
